Four Corners Spirit Run | Tongva Territory, West L.A.

Uniting Native Communities and
Honoring Sacred Sites in West Los Angeles

Blessings to you all and hope that you and yours are in healthy movement.

We are preparing for our Annual Spirit Run; this will be our 10th year organizing a Spiritual Run. This year’s Spirit Run is set to take place in March 2017, Date: TBA from approximately 6am – 3pm.

This is a Prayer Run in Westside Los Angeles done in Indigenous ceremonial fashion. It will start with a Sunrise Ceremony at Ballona Wetlands (Huaxpet/Sa’agna) near Lincoln & Jefferson Blvds at 5:30 am in Playa del Rey. The Sunrise ceremony will be conducted by Tongva representaive(s), the Indigenous Nation of the L.A. Basin.

The Spirit Runners will run carrying their messages and prayers through the Traditional Communities and Sacred Sites of West Los Angeles. At every stop we share ceremonial songs, history, and positive visions for these communities and Sacred Sites.

There are 5 segments to the Run and they average between 2-4 miles for a total of approximately 12 miles. One can Run as much or as little as they want.

The Ceremony stops include Sa’agna/Huaxpet (Play del Rey) , Mar Vista Family center (Culver City), Oakwood Park (Venice), Pico Youth & Family Center/Tongva Park (Santa Monica), Stoner Park (Sotel), and will culminate early afternoon at Kuruvunga Springs on the campus of University High School in West Los Angeles where we will enjoy with closing ceremony and Thanksgiving.

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate
in which ever they can.
Many ways to Participate- Not everyone has to run.
One’s presence and good energy there with us on this short
journey and celebration is all that is needed.
